A
DC to AC power inverter from S.E.A is a totally electronic device,
which transforms battery power into 240 volt AC mains power. Until
now, most small power inverters were a modified version of the mains
electricity, usually modified square wave or modified sine wave
inverters. However, the "Challenger" is a true
representation of mains electricity, with a True Sine Wave output.
This means that any appliance can be operated as long as it is within
the power rating of the "Challenger".
Another
outstanding feature of the "Challenger", is its
ability to deliver more power for short bursts, this ensures the
reliablestarting of appliances such as televisions and motors.
A
clever feature of the "Challenger" is the ability
to automatically detect when there is an AC load on the inverter.
If there is no load, the inverter will remain OFF, when a load is
present, the inverter will automatically switch itself ON, the auto
start sensitivity can easily be adjusted to suit your type of load.
This feature is not only convenient but reduces the amount of power
taken from yorur battery. This can also allow the use of a smaller
battery bank, saving you dollars.

GETTING
CONNECTED.
Using
the SEA "Challanger" couldn't be easier. Simply connect
to a suitable 12 or 24 Volt battery, turn on the circuit breaker,
plug the appliance into the front of the "Challanger" and
you're ready to play. All wiring for permanent installations must
be installed according to relevant local standards. The "Challanger"
is protected against short circuit, AC overload, thermal overload
and DC voltage out of range.
WHAT CAN I RUN?
Your
battery must be in good condition and of suitable size. Generally
a minmum of a 75Amp Hour battery should be used. Check your rating
label on your appliance to ensure it is within the range of your "Challanger".
If this is the case, your "Challanger" should run the appliance.
But remember, you must keep your battery charged, if not, an intelligent
disconect will prevent your battery from being completely discharged.
ADVANCED
TECHNOLOGY.
.The "Challanger" inverter employs the latest state of the
art technology. Power mosfets, a high effiency torodial transformer
and a very powerful microprocessor combine together to give you a
sophisticated, efficent, but yet simple and reliable inverter.
